MISSION STATEMENT: We step up for senior Dachshunds and those with severe medical needs.
GetAlong Dachshund Rescue was formed out of an intense desire to change the lives of dachshunds who find themselves homeless, one dog at a time. We pledge to not overlook the ones who are old, injured, or ill. We are an all-volunteer foster based rescue. Our operating costs are funded by donations and fundraising. We are a 501c3 non-profit rescue headquartered in Florida.
The story of Frodo
Frodo is the dog and the reason that brought GetALong Dachshund Rescue to fruition. This tiny, frail dog needed a champion and he found one through the quick actions of Georgia Ann Manley and several of her friends in the rescue community. The instincts of a rescuer in the making, created the spark that would become GetALong Dachshund Rescue.
